The beautifully sculptured Traditional Village, set in lush rolling hills, yet just 12 km from the bustling resorts of North East Crete, provides a chance to sample the Real Crete in microcosm.

Open 16 hours a day from season start to season finish; the village invites visitors on a journey into Crete’s rural heartland to take a relaxing break in the serenity of the countryside. There are open-air barbecues to enable you to cook your own. Sit in our garden terrace in the shade of a cypress tree and enjoy the quiet beauty of the surrounding countryside as a gentle breeze tames the mighty Cretan sun and a lyre plays softly in the background.

Take a stroll around the delightful village paths, through arches strewn with bougamvillia and an enticing aroma of honeysuckle in the air. The artisans dwelling await you. It houses a pottery workshop, honey production, a salon of Byzantine hagiography, show of weaving, saddle making, a raki (local spirit) distiller and a number of other events that can provide our guests with knowledge concerning the ancient agricultural village life. In addition to that, a village market offers a great variety of handicrafts for sale, including honey, olive oil, Cretan herbs, wove material, silverware, pottery objects, olive soap, Cretan wine and many other products.
