Thai Wellness Spa, focuses mainly (but not only) on traditional Thailandese techniques that they enrich with the contemporary scientific achievements of the West. These techniques are organically connected with the spa’s operation. The spa is run by a Greek-Thailandese lady who has studied these techniques both in Thailand and in Greece thus acquiring a complete specialization on the subject.

More specifically, Maria studied physiotherapy in Thessaloniki, after completing that she went to Thailand where she graduated from numerous schools specializing on different fields of massage therapy and other similar therapy techniques.

Specifically, in Thailand, Maria graduated from ITM and is certified for Teacher training (and now is an international representative of ITM thus having the right to teach others on the school’s subjects). She also graduated from Hand Dong Thai Massage school where she studied Tok-Sen, an ancient therapy technique of north Thailand as well as from Ong Thai Massage School, The School of Massage for Health and the Sabai Deka Thai Massage School.

The Thai massage sessions offered at the spa include Tok-Sen (which is a treatment from northern Thailand which uses a hammer and a wooden wedge made of tamarind to gently tap energy meridians in the body), Herbal Compress ( a therapeutic regimen of thermal massage based on Thai herbs), Traditional Thai and Foot Bath. The spa also offers several other western technique therapies such as Deep Tissue, Facial, infant massage, aromatherapy and finally physical therapy programs for those who may need it.

The Thai Wellness Spa wanting to offer a total experience of relaxation and detoxification, gives its customers the opportunity to enjoy the sauna, showers and changing rooms (separate for men and women), full clothing for the session (bathrobe, slippers, towels, hair dryer) as well as a mini toiletries kit, and various organic products (which are also available for sale) such as coconut oil and tea – always served after the session, complementing the experience of relaxation with other therapeutic oils.

Beyond the full service packages mentioned, the Thai Wellness Spa offers a great special package and various mini packages with different choices for those with limited time or budget or those who want to target a specific part of their body.

Finally, for those who have limited time, there is a special massage chair (iRest) which can be used for just ten euros per session.
